Many attractive places are to be found all across Greece, but few can compare with the superb natural beauty of the Pelion Peninsula.

At Smart Properties we offer a selection of houses and land for sale, primarily in the quiet and beautiful area of south Pelion. Occasionally we also offer properties elsewhere in Pelion, and in the Sporades Islands Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos.

Smart Properties is run by the husband-and-wife team of Tim and Aphroula Smart, and is an offshoot from the tour operating company, Houses of Pelion Ltd, that we started soon after moving to Pelion in 1984. Over the years a growing number of our clients who came with us to Pelion on holiday expressed an interest in owning a house here, and at the same time many of our Greek neighbours asked us if we knew any foreigners who might want to buy into the area. So we started by putting one in touch with the other, and over time this has developed into a fully-functioning, Greek-registered Estate Agency.

In addition to our giving total support throughout the purchase process, we use the services of an extremely competent, English-speaking lawyer in Volos, who is expert at carrying out the necessary searches, and in keeping the paperwork flowing. We also work with a highly-regarded notary for the finalisation of the contracts.

We have tried to make the description of the properties on our books as clear, detailed and objective as possible, and have done our best to avoid 'estate agents' licence'.
